Kevin Lynn Meister, 59, of Glen St. Mary died on Saturday, October 1, 2016 following an extended illness. He was a native of Springfield, Ohio and a resident of Baker County for many years. He was a teacher and a basketball coach at Baker County Middle School and an avid Ohio State football fan. He also helped coach Baker County Touchdown Club football and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Mr. Meister is survived by his sons Garrett Meister of Palatka, FL, Bradley Meister of New York, Andy Fent of Ohio, step-sons Matthew McDonald and Bradley McDonald, both of Macclenny; step-daughter Ashley McDonald of Starke; his mother Martha Lomatzsch and sister Dawn Marie (Mark) McCurdy, both of Byron, GA. He was preceded in death by his wife Lisa Chapman-Meister, father Thomas F. Meister and brother Terry Meister.

A celebration of his life will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, October 5 at the Glen Friendship Tabernacle Church with Pastor Albert Starling officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service. Forbes Funeral Home of Macclenny is in charge of arrangements
