School Story:
I actually didn't start out in Springfield. I spent my elementary and much of my Jr. High time in Enon. I came to Springfield in the 9th grade. But I do remember very clearly my first day at Roosevelt Junior High. Steve Morris and Brian Morrison were the first two people I met. Brian was sitting there being cool and Steve Morris was singing a song and playing drum on the table. I made a flying leap into North the very next year! Started my time with football and wrestling and ended with Drama and musicals. Go figure.
My first year I remember the voice of Orman Ricketts saying, "Getting stronger every day..." As we pounded ourselves into shape. The last part of the year watched my first musical...Brigadoon (spelling???) With Carl and John. It was an experience that was seared into memory. I loved it!
My favorite time was "Soft Rains". Ross, Jamie and many other characters who were involved. What was suppose to be a special theater became much more to us.
